The Prosecco Superiore Zimor Extra Dry wins over Luca Maroni

With a score of 95 and a flattering tasting commentary, the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Zimor, Extra Dry version, turns out to be the best among the C&C wines presented at the 2024 edition of Luca Maroni's Best Wines Report. This is the description of our sparkling wine given by the jury of the prestigious award:

Sensations: how silky and dense this sparkling wine reveals itself, how plush and creamy its palate, and how crisply it smells, well mixed between grape, pear, and a more aromatic plum. Well, this harmonious and smooth souplesse, this vivacious and creamy, frothy mellowness, are provided by rare, enveloping bubbles. And in every sip this virtuous and pleasant sequence, with delicate clarity, is softly felt. The result of excellent viticultural and oenological technique, this sparkling wine stands out among the most balanced and smooth Proseccos of the year.

Excellent results also for the Prosecco DOC Brut La Casada, which was awarded 95 points, as well as the Ribolla Gialla IGT Venezia Giulia Morajo. The Chardonnay DOC Friuli Morajo, vintage 2023, scored 94 points, whilst the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry Japo 2023, the Friulano DOC Friuli Morajo 2023 and the Extra Dry cuvée La Casada, also vintage 2023, scored 93 points.
