The publication of the guide, now in its sixth edition, is the result of a three-day tasting that aims at highlighting and showcasing the wineries that invest in the improvement of their wines. The wines participating in the competition have been tasted and judged by a jury of wine professionals from all over the world, including Master Sommeliers, sommeliers from starred restaurants, journalists, oenologists, Italian Wine Experts and Ambassadors of Vinitaly International Academy.
Over 2,000 samples participate each year in the event, organized by Veronafiere as part of the Vinitaly trade show.
